Lawmakers in the U.S. state of Louisiana are moving closer to banning the sale of flavored e-cigarettes and other vaping products.
House Bill 179 would prohibit the sale of all flavored nicotine products except for tobacco.
The bill is now pending final passage in the state’s Senate, which could take place today.
If the bill is passed and signed into law by the Governor, the ban on flavored vapes would go into effect on October 1, 2023.
